Adopt a Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Terrier / Mixed (short coat) Dog

Apollo the Dog needs a home

My name is Apollo.

My owner surrendered me because I grew bigger than they expected.  They didn't have room for me in their house.

I am a bit shy but once I figure out the lay of the land, I am friendly and sweet.  No one has ever taught me about the leash thing, so I'll need some education, but I'm sure I would make a great addition to any family.

I am around one year old, heartworm negative and 44 pounds.

Please, come to the shelter and ask for Apollo!

The stray hold, at the Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter, is 5 days.  That allows owners a fair amount of time to come looking for their pets.  On the sixth day, the animal becomes property of the Toccoa-Stephens County Humane Shelter and is offered for adoption.  An animal may be pre-adopted, however, if the owner comes forward, within the 5 day stray hold, the animal goes back to the owner.  The adoption fee is refunded at that time.

Unfortunately, we are not able to hold animals without the adoption process being completed.

That includes the payment of the adoption fee. Adoptions are done on a first come, first

Mondays, otherwise we do not hold animals.  When the process is complete, the pet will be scheduled to be altered.  After that is done, the pet may be picked up.
